Göteborg Stallbacka Airport, due to its central location in Western Sweden, is an important community function that provides good accessibility to the area and contributes to growth and development. The airport is operated by Fyrstads Flygplats AB, a municipal company owned jointly by Trollhättan, Vänersborg, Uddevalla, and Lysekil.

The airport plays a natural role in the growing area and has a role in Total Defense. The airport company must act proactively, responsibly, and always be ready to meet the community's various needs for air travel. The company's ambition is for operations at the airport to grow in terms of the number of passengers and destinations while continuing the sustainability transition.

From the airport, there is daily scheduled traffic to Stockholm, and vital community flights land and take off both day and night. In addition, there are several flight schools, private hangar owners, flying clubs, and some cargo flights.

At the airport, we are 18 employees who work integrated with safety and service to passengers and all departing and arriving flights. Our guiding words are safe, smooth, and reliable. Everyday life for everyone is characterized by responsibility, safety, and great variation.

Fyrstads Flygplats AB is looking for airport staff

Göteborg Stallbacka Airport is a Basic Airport, which means that a position with us includes many different areas of responsibility and tasks; every day can look different.

We are looking for someone who is inspired to work with the following tasks:

In the role of Airport officer ramp, responsibilities include baggage handling to and from aircraft, de-icing, toilet and water service, aircraft refueling and maintenance of the airport's fueling facility, field management, airport firefighter, and security personnel. Airlines are our customers, and we always strive to meet their needs through good cooperation.

The work as field management personnel is varied, just like the weather, and therefore the tasks also change depending on the season. During the winter season, the work involves snow removal on runways and parking areas. Furthermore, supervision and maintenance of facilities and land areas are included.

As an airport firefighter, you will staff together with the other rescue services at Trollhättan – Vänersborg Airport during your shift, always ready if an accident should occur.

In your work as security personnel, you will staff the airport's security control and perform access control and patrolling.

Since the airport works integrated across unit boundaries, your assignment also includes other tasks occurring at the airport, such as maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and other equipment at the airport. As we are also a meeting place, you will be a representative of our airport.

You as a person:

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education and documented training/experience in maintenance of electronics, telecommunications, and radio communication systems, as well as a valid B driver's license. A CE license is advantageous as you will be using heavy vehicles in the position. A hunting license and weapon permit are also advantageous as there may be protective hunting.

For the position, it is required that you can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of English. Basic computer skills are a requirement as there are some administrative tasks and a lot of IT-based work. Good color vision is required.

The work includes physically demanding tasks, which means that you should enjoy a physically active job and have a physique that meets this. Passing our physical tests for airport firefighters is a prerequisite for working with us. If you are already a trained airport firefighter, this is an advantage.

Your personal qualities are important to us. We want you to be a versatile person who is responsive to the needs of the operation, humble, and has good collaboration skills, handling unforeseen events in a flexible and safe manner. You have high social competence, are meticulous, structured, and enjoy solving problems.

The position is subject to drug testing, security clearance, and background checks according to the Security Protection Act.

The position is 100% full-time, and you will work shifts with varying working hours; some on-call duty may occur. The position is a permanent position at Fyrstads Flygplats AB, starting with a 6-month probationary period.

Start date is according to agreement.
